As of yesterday morning, I am done with 9 weeks of Insanity. I bought the kit years ago but never finished. Finishing this time has brought a huge sense of accomplishment for me, but also knowing just how much I can push my body. Things that seemed almost impossible have gotten easier and I feel great about that.
Insanity Weight Loss Results
I only lost about 1-2 pounds, depending on which scale I am using. This is a disappointment, but I know 100% it was from diet. I could have done way better diet-wise and didn’t follow the program diet at all. If I had one regret, it would be that. Insanity takes a lot of dedication and I wish I would have also dedicated myself to the eating plan too.
However, if you are struggling with not losing weight during Insanity, check out this message board post. It really helped me.
Insanity Inches Loss Results
Even though I didn’t really lose weight, I lost about one inch per week. I didn’t start measuring across my belly button until about the 5th week so I might have lost even more than 9 inches.
However, I also don’t think I measured correctly. This Beachbody video explains how to properly measure yourself.
Insanity Fit Test Results
Here are my fit test results, from day one to my last day.

Insanity has made me realize I can be really successful when I stick to a plan. For right now, I’m tentatively planning on doing a walk/run half marathon training plan 5 days/week with one of those days plus one other going to a fun type of cardio, like Zumba or TurboFire.
I also think I’m going to do an eating challenge, like no meat for a month or a smoothie challenge. I’ve been doing green smoothies every morning and many lunches for the last week and it went really well so I might keep that up.
In the future, I might also try Insanity Asylum as well. Shaun T also has a new program called Focus T25, where all the workouts are 25 minutes long, and I definitely want to try that.
