I’m on Day 9 of the Slow Carb Diet challenge and I’m sort of miserable. I went way overboard on my cheat day (eating 3200 calories when I normally eat 1400-1500) and have felt like crap since. I haven’t wanted to eat anything at all, so I’ve resorted to peanuts and mushy salads I can barely eat. I don’t know if I’m punishing myself or what the deal is. I do know that I’m already questioning everything, so I need some motivation, STAT.
I only cheated three times last week– one, I had a cupcake Tuesday night at a work meeting and Thursday I had cheese and tortilla strips on my salad for another work meeting. Then, I had a few licks of cake batter for a cake I made Friday night.
As of Saturday AM, here are my results:
- Weight: 150.6 pounds – a loss of 5.4 pounds in one week
- Waist: 32 inches (-1)
- Hips: 39 inches (-0.5)
- Right Leg: 25 inches (0)
- Right Arm: 12 inches (o)
Goals for this week:
- Get back on track by eating fun meals that follow the diet
- Put up some visual motivation and reminders of how I feel when I am eating crappy
- More strength training
- Longer workouts
