I knew I needed to change when I saw myself in the mirror at my cousin’s house in Denver. I thought I looked great in the dress I bought for my cousin’s wedding and I didn’t. I know you are supposed to think that the mirror adds 5 pounds in your head, but I still thought I looked awful.
Fast forward to last week, and I still felt crappy. Especially after seeing my race photo from this weekend:
I also just found this photo of me that makes me think it might be the photo:
Either way, after seeing the first photo and feeling uncomfortable for a few weeks, I knew that I needed to make a change.
So, I am challenging myself to do the Slow Carb Diet for 30 days (minimum) and see what happens. I started yesterday, July 21.
In the interest of finally being accountable (and hopefully helping someone else), here are my starting stats:
- Weight on July 21 AM: 156 pounds (I’ve already lost 3.2 pound since then)
- Waist: 33 inches
- Hips: 39.5 inches
- Right Leg: 25 inches
- Right Arm: 12 inches
