So it’s been awhile since my last Slow Carb Update because there hasn’t been much slow carb going on. When I went to Vegas, I didn’t even try to eat slow carb (even though I could have) and have been off the wagon ever since. I am still about two pounds above what I was when I went to Vegas, but I’ve also been able to enjoy breads, fries, cheeseburgers, and more.
The more times I try slow carb, the more I’m sure that I just don’t know how feasible it is for long term. While many people have made it a part of their permanent lifestyle, I always seem to falter and go back to my normal eating patterns.
The fact remains that I need to decide one thing: Would I rather be skinnier and eat slow carb or eat normally and lose the weight more slowly? Some days it’s the former, some days it’s the latter.
While it is hard to admit publicly that I didn’t fulfill my challenge, it has helped me stay accountable and realize two things:
- How important my diet is to my weight
- Woman cannot survive on veggies and beans alone
And so I will continue my journey toward achieving the best balance of indulgence and healthy habits!
