I was SO EXCITED when I was contacted to review an Erin Condren LifePlanner™. I had heard about these planners from a lot of the women in my entrepreneur and mastermind groups. They all sung the praises of how easily it can be customized, as well as the dizzying array of options that are available.
I quickly got onto the site and first combed through the different planner covers I could choose from:
I chose a cactus theme. I’ve really been feeling cacti and flamingos lately. I even bought a white blouse yesterday with pink flamingos on it.
I love that they offer FREE personalization of your name (or whatever you want, like initials or a business name) on the front cover. This is not only good for if you lose it, it definitely makes it feel more personalized.
For me, when I’m staying organized, loving what I’m surrounded by is definitely key. Things have to be colorful and upbeat in order to make me feel like I’m productive and loving what I’m doing. That’s why these planners always appealed to me.
Getting the planner in the mail (after about 4-5 business days, if I remember correctly) definitely made me understand why they are so popular. Everything worked together well and I enjoyed shifting through all of the extras I got with the planner itself.
I got the wellness log and monthly budget clip-ins because even though I do track these digitally in apps and spreadsheets, having it actually physically in a planner that I use every day could help it stay top of mind easier.
I also got some stickers– the planner came with some in the back for marking appointments or events like birthdays, as well as voting– which I loved. You can choose the color theme when you pick out your LifePlanner™ cover design.
For the planner itself, I decided to get the horizontal layout for the weeks. I liked all the layouts, but I thought that one looked like it had the most space and would be most effective for the way I write notes and tasks down.
This has been my first week with the planner and I really love it! The only thing I wish I would’ve done differently is by some wet erase marketers. As an Erin Condren newbie, I mistakenly thought that I could just use the dry erase markers that I already have, which was a mistake.
Unlike dry erase markers, wet erase markers are semi-permanent and require a wet wipe to remove. This will work perfectly on the laminated pages that are smushed together when you close the pages. I bought some wet erase markers to use later on. I would definitely recommend buying some from the site when you order your LifePlanner™.
Overall, I would recommend these planners and accessories to anyone who LOVES bright colors, organizing, and a creative approach to planning your life and tasks. It really does make a difference when it comes to getting things done!
