Because I’m a Sweat Pink Ambassador (and a FitFluential Ambassador too!), I occasionally get to review cool products and food. I recently was able to design my own flavored oatmeal and peanut butter from healthy oatmeal e-commerce site My Oatmeal in order to review for this post. When I first went to the site, I looked at the pre-made custom flavors they had available and the red velvet caught my eye. But the problem was, it had dates in it and I’m not a big date fan. So, I attempted to recreate the red velvet oatmeal in the personalization screen.

In addition to my custom oatmeal, I also ordered PB Lean, which is like PB2. I LOVE using dehydrated peanut butter for smoothies, so I was excited to be able to try My Oatmeal’s version. I just ordered the basic flavor, but they also offer pumpkin spice, banana bread, german chocolate cake, chocolate hazelnut (like Nutella, perhaps?) and vanilla frosting.
My oatmeal and peanut butter came fairly quickly and the entire checkout process was easy. I really like that you can see the calorie and nutrition count while you are building your products.
So, how was my oatmeal?
Let’s just say I should leave the mixing to the experts. 🙂 It is still good, but I couldn’t help but feel like something was missing. Next time I order from My Oatmeal, I will definitely order on of their popular blends, like Todd’s Tropical Island, which has mango, pineapple, strawberries, white cake flavor, butter rum flavor, macadamias, and sugar.

How was PB Lean?
Delicious! One thing I was surprised by was the size of the oatmeal and PB Lean bags. On the website, it mentions that it is over 2 pounds for the smallest bags, but seeing them in person, I know both will last me for a while.
Overall Experience
Overall, I LOVED the My Oatmeal experience and I can honestly say I would order from them again and recommend them to my friends. Next time I order, I just won’t try to copycat the greatness they had already created! 🙂
