4 Places to Find Fitness Inspiration

At times all you need is a spark or a push to get things rolling. The key to staying fit is constantly pushing your limits to achieve the next milestone because sticking to a fitness plan can be a bit monotonous. The average joe needs to be motivated, inspired or dazzled. Inspiration can come from even basic things, like a fast-paced song, a quote, or even a fitness blog post. Whatever makes you tick is an inspiration for you.

Here’s some great online sources and ideas you could explore to get back on track and shed those extra pounds.

Pinterest

This is of my favorite sources for getting some fitness pinspiration. I am obsessed with how Pinterest  has millions of pins that can get you off your feet. There are various boards you can follow like this one or this one for getting your daily juice of inspiration. You will come across a lot of useful graphics, exercise routines and intuitive infographics. The Health category is also a good place to get started.

YouTube

The biggest video search engine on the planet, it can’t get better than this. Search for a workout video or your favorite yoga session. Some good keyword skills won’t hurt while searching on YouTube because there a quite a few good ones and a fair amount of not so great stuff too. You could load the video on your laptop, or even better, cast it on your plasma or flat screen using Chromecast. (You could win one at my Valentine’s Day Giveaway).

This is my favorite YouTube yoga workout.

Blogs

If inspiring pins or videos don’t get you motivated, than you could turn to the thousands of health and fitness related blogs or websites that offer you vital and useful information and advice. They feature some great content and articles to get you going. You can learn some new exercise drills and trends in the fitness industry.

Some of my favorites:

  • Peanut Butter Fingers
  • FitSugar
  • Greatist
  • Posh Meets Pavement

Other Ways to Motivate Yourself

There are a million other ways you could keep yourself in the game. You could do some basic things, like take a look at pictures of you from a few years back and realize how far you have come.

Check some motivational quotes or paste it near your workplace or desktop. Seeing things you love that set a fire inside you are always god to have around.

Let me know what you do to get motivated and inspired. Remember, “It’s the start that stops most people”. :)
